When it comes to glass splashbacks, Intaglio Glass and Design’s experience stretches back to the start of the millennium, so when a client from the Bothwell area approached us and asked us to advise, manufacture and fit some glass for his kitchen wall, we were only too happy to help.
The remit was to maintain the style and contemporary look of the kitchen, but to provide a contrast which accentuated to the sharp edges and modern outlook. At this stage we provided several colour samples to the client – we do sparkles, metallic and pearl variants as well as flat colours – and this allowed the client to get a flavour of what colour would look good. On the basis of his colour selection, our fitters measured the space, taking sockets and any other extrusions into account. (You can do this yourself if you are confident enough!)
Back at our manufacturing facility the glass was engineered using the latest CNC (computer numerical control) and fully toughened to give complete comfort to the customer. Next the painting process began, with the finished product being inspected rigorously at quality control.
Some two weeks from site sizing, the finished product was installed at the client’s home, and the finished result was the stylish, modern and easy to maintain splashback you see in the image. Our client was delighted with the end result and as well as the look, they are thrilled at the ease of cleaning and no more grout lines!
