Glass Etching & Sandblasting
Sandblasting or etching glass can be used to achieve a range of effects from a contemporary look to a traditional feel. It is achieved by blasting a fine grit media into the surface of the glass. This is often used to distort being able to see through the clear glass or to soften the transmission of light through the glass.
The effects range from simple frosting to more subtle effects using hard and soft line, layering, semi-tones and textures. More complex three-dimensional work with deep carvings can be achieved. Logos, patterns and graphics can be incorporated.
Intaglio’s in-house design artist can re-create traditional nineteenth or twentieth century designs brining back to life the original features of a building or window.
We use a variety of methods from CAD drawings, hand drawings, and vinyl masking depending upon the detail required. We can design or generate artwork to the clients specification or alternatively the client can supply their own artwork.
